Since I started making malas I’ve been dying to make a traditionally styled one. I made this one with 109 wooden beads strung on black cotton yarn. Primarily in three shades of brown (dark, medium, and one resembling an unfinished look). The strands ends in the “stupa” where I used a larger red bead. The strand was finished off with a traditional tassel.

Size: 55” long, Stupa to tassel 4”.
