There's something deeply gratifying about working with thick & chunky yarn. It works up quickly, it makes a thick & squishy fabric, and it makes a statement to be seen no matter what!

This yarn was inspired a dear friend & fellow knitter's deep & abiding love of orange. I was browsing through colors and saw a variegated orange that screamed, "GG would love me!"

Creating lucet yarn was something that came to me as I was browsing around my LYS (local yarn shop) and saw some yarns that looked very nearly like icord. I knew I could create a similarly thick yarn by way of weaving and thus I began!

Bright orange in varying shades compliment a variegated orange that ranges in hue from bright & dark orange. A blend of cotton (for strength), acrylic (for durability), and a smidge of polyester. The blend gives a soft & smooth feel, making it ideal for a scarf or cowl. Orange is energetic & full of life, much like my friend.

Lucetting, or lucet weaving, is a form of weaving that really looks like knitting. Essentially it's a two stitch i-cord which results in a literal box shaped braid.

There's nothing more meaningful than something made with the conscious creative force. I pour a bit of my own energy into everything that I create. Making things is as easy as the demonstration & practice of a technique...but here I diverge, engaging in a process of Sacred Creation to capture the essence beyond the process from raw to refined.

To preserve the unique energy of my work most is exclusively made. I aim to never repeat custom work & to make everything in small batches (for those few things that may be reproduced again). And truly nothing is 100% reproduced. Allowing for each individual creation to retain it's own special magick!

Care Instructions: Handwash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
