Truly after all is said and done I will always be a huge fan of the macabre. My love of thus and for the use of bone in general, both as a color and in materials themselves inspired the morbid beauty before you. Wire wrapping is another love of mine and when I saw the holey, honeycomb structure of this bead I knew it was destined to be inside a ring. Bright green wire reminds me of the surreal brightness of the cemetery lawns. The orange beads reminiscent of the vibrant funerary flowers scattered about and of course the bone and black beads themselves - a rather cadaverous reference. The entirety of this ring reminds me very much of a skull peeking up through it’s grave, lamenting the life it once knew...
