Polliwog: tadpole; variant of polliwig, from Middle English polwigle : pol, head + wiglen, to wiggle.

Polliwog is just one of those fun to say words. A simple childlike bit of fun, sort of like kumquat. The olive green reminds of me of the funny little baby frogs I would hunt as a child, commonly a practice of little boys. Who I have heard referred to as “noise with dirt”. Tiny ribbits in the evenings and the slowly transformation from egg to tadpole to frog, such sweet Summer memories of childhood. Will you share them with your tiny man?

Made from 100% acrylic yarn.
