Journaling is one of my passions. But one of the few laments I have of the process is when the journal is full & the pages end. Here I sought to solve this problem with a book that never ends, and a book that truly reflects you & your interests.

I saw promise in the possibility of my chosen palette (see picture #4). And selected pre-made palettes to suit my fellow nerds & enthusiasts.

Inspired by my love of variety and the unique construction, shapes, & textures of freeform crochet I knew it would provide a truly unique finished product every time!

Choose 3, 4, or 5 colors from a wide ranging palette (60+ colors!) Bobbles, popcorns, puffs, stripes, spikes, spirals, circles, triangles, squares, & hexagons. Further embellished with beads, metallic yarns, & embroidery.

A soft acrylic lends a pleasant & durable feel to each book, making them long-lasting even with every day use! Each cover is reinforced with metal eyelets, also adding to the life of your book and allowing for repeated re-bindings!

Each book is 100% unique taking into account your color & shape preferences. I let your books speak to me telling me where to place the colors and how to piece each cover together creating a delightful surprise for you & me!

A selection of standard journal size options allows you to have something familiar & workable for your journaling practice. Each book contains 60 pages and the initial binding. Disassembly & re-binding is available as well!

This listing contains three options:

*Initial Binding: This is the creation of your scrumble covers in 3-5 of your chosen colors (or a pre-made palette). The book is bound with the pages of your choice for writing or art journaling & mailed to you via Priority Mail. Each book is specially wrapped as well.

*Initial Binding + Pen Pouch: You get everything from the Initial Binding + a pen pouch! Pen pouches are made in the same colors as your journal but with a woven look. Pen pouches are 8" x 6"/20.3 cm x 15.2 cm, with a zippler closure. Zipper and fabric lining match the overall color scheme of your chosen palette.

*Rebinding: You mail your filled book back to me and I dis-assemble it. The old pages are re-bound with a simple paper cover from your choice of paper (options will be emailed to you once the book is received). Then your cover is rebound with new pages. Both are mailed back to you via Priority Mail!

Freeform is a method of creating that has no pattern and instead relies on an amalgamation of techniques from crochet, knitting, embroidery, weaving & other textile arts.

There's nothing more meaningful than something made with the conscious creative force. I pour a bit of my own energy into everything that I create. Making things is as easy as the demonstration & practice of a technique...but here I diverge, engaging in a process of Sacred Creation to capture the essence beyond the process from raw to refined.

To preserve the unique energy of my work most is exclusively made. I aim to never repeat custom work & to make everything in small batches (for those few things that may be reproduced again). And truly nothing is 100% reproduced. Allowing for each individual creation to retain it's own special magick!

Specs, Construction, & Care...

*A small range of colors allows you to have a nice range of colors to fit your interests & what you're passionate about (#nerd4life), without any overwhelming another.

*Each journal is a truly special & unique work of art just for you, allowing for you to visually connect with what matters to you!

*(For writing journals) The use of recycled paper is meant to be kinder to the environment./(For art journals) Mixed media paper gives a larger range of mediums for you to use in your journal, fostering true artistic freedom!

*Pulling on standard journals sizes instills a sense of comfort & usability (not too big or too small!) for those familiar with journaling.

*Coptic stitch binding with waxed thread makes for a strong & secure binding that also allows the journal to lie flat making the journals easier to use than the standard casebound bindings.

*Metal eyelets allow each journal to be easily re-bound again & again, lengthening the life of your journal.

*Each journal is made employing techniques of freeform fiber arts pulling from crochet, knitting, & embroidery.

*Writing Journal = 5" x 8"/12.7 cm x 20.3 cm OR 8" x 10"/12.7 cm x 25.4 cm

*Art Journal = 6" x 9"/15.2 cm x 22.8 cm OR 9" x 12"/22.8 cm x 30.4 cm

Each journal is made with 100% acrylic yarn, chipboard, & metal eyelets. Journals may include glass beads & cotton thread embellishments. Binding is completed with waxed cotton thread and paper is either 100% recycled (for writing journals) or mixed media paper (for art journals).

Care Instructions: To preserve the life of your journal it's best to not get it wet & spot clean only if absolutely necessary. If it does get wet carefully separate the pages and allow to air dry. When writing, test ink for ghosting or bleed through. If either of these occur consider using a different style of pen.

As these are pre-order please allow 8 weeks for delivery. This allows me to get supplies , create your journal, & send it to you in the mail!

Part of my commitment to excellence I personally guarantee all of my work. If in the course of normal use your item breaks I offer repair services for a nominal fee (to replace at cost any broken components or replace damaged pieces). Just send me a note (LINK: EMAIL) and we'll sort things out!

*This journal is one of a kind, custom & made to order. As with any OOAK or custom work, no version is truly repeatable, even with similar materials.
